A monobloc is a type of light with the electronis in the head, as opposed to the pack and head type. It is more portable.
IR triggering devices make photography easier as they allow you to set of flashes, shutter etc while being some distance away from the equipment. They use infrared light to do this.
Portable fill flash refers to the flash units that attach to your camera and provide an extra source of light often used in location work, not so much studio.

DSLR revision
We played with our cameras and fiddled with custom white balance settings. I didn't really undertsand what was going on so i'll just stick with keeping the wb on daylight for now. I know there are still so many things i don't know about my camera, but i'll figure it out when I need to.
